Montclair, NJ... Two goals in the opening 16 minutes got The College of New Jersey women's soccer team off to a fast start and the Lions made that score stand as they came away with a key 2-0 road win at Montclair State University on Saturday.

th-ranked TCNJ in sole possession of first place in the New Jersey Athletic Conference with 10 points as they are 3-0-1 in league play. They are also unbeaten overall at 7-0-3.

The loss was the first since the season opener for the 23
rd-ranked Red Hawks as they dropped to 8-2-1 and 2-1-1 in the conference.

Christina Roach (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson).

The Lions doubled that advantage with 15:53 expired in the game when sophomore
Jessica Goldman (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) buried her second of the season. Earning an assist on the play was sophomore
Elizabeth Thoresen (Colts Neck, NJ/Red Bank Catholic).

Jessica Weeder (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) notched her eighth solo shutout of the season, finishing with three saves.
