Box Score Ewing, NJ – TCNJ Men's Basketball improved to 5-4 on the year and 3-2 in conference with an 82-71 win over Rowan University Wednesday night in Ewing. The Lions came out hot, shooting 17-35 from the field and 7-17 from three to take a 42-25 lead into the halftime break.
Rowan would not go away easily, though, hitting 6 of their first 9 three point attempts to start the second half. The Profs took a 1 point lead 61-60 with 6:33 remaining on a free throw from TJ Booth. TCNJ responded well, going on its own 22-10 run to finish the game and pull out the conference win.
Guard Eric Murdock (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater) led the way with a game-high 27 points. He also dished 10 assists. Forward
Jordan Glover (fr. Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) contributed with 16 points and nine rebounds. Guard
Eric Klacik (jr. Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) chipped in with 14 points and nine boards. Forward
Elias Bermudez (so. Westwood, NJ/Westwood) and center
Steven Kelly (so. Newton, NJ/Newton) added 10 and nine points respectively.
The Lions return to action on Wednesday, December 30
th in New York City with a non-conference matchup against John Jay at 1 PM.
