Cortney Natalicchio (New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) recorded a career-high eight points as The College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team polished off the regular season with its 29
th straight New Jersey Athletic Conference on Saturday as the Lions beat Kean University, 17-3.

TCNJ will see the Cougars again on Wednesday when they open the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament as the top seed. This time, the Lions will host Kean with that game taking place on Wednesday, April 29 at 7 p.m.

The other NJAC semifinal has Montclair State University hosting Rowan University with the winners of those two games meeting at the highest remaining seed on May 2.

TCNJ finished conference play a perfect 6-0 and are 14-3 overall, while the Cougars are 7-9 and an even 3-3 in the NJAC.

Natalicchio finished her big day with four goals and four assists as she also reached both the 40-goal plateau for the season and 50-point mark for the first time in her career.

Freshman
Amanda Muller (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) opened the scoring an even minute into the game, but the hosts countered with two goals to take what was their only advantage of the game.

The Lions netted 10 of the final 11 goals of the period, including eight straight, with senior
Kendal Borup (Plainsboro, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro South) accounting for four of those and Natalicchio added three and set up two others for a comfortable 11-3 lead.

TCNJ tacked on the only six goals in the second half with five different players accounting for those scores. Borup had a pair, while Muller, sophomore
Mia Blackman (Arlington, VA/Field School), Natalicchio and senior
Lauren Karpovich (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) added the others.

Borup finished with six goals, raising her season total to 68. Muller added three goals and assisted another. Senior
Ava Fitzgerald (Merrick, NY/Calhoun) reached the 50-goal mark for the second straight season as she tallied once in the win.

The Lions defense held an opponent to five goals or less for the 11
th time this season. Karpovich had a balanced game with five ground balls and three caused turnovers, while freshman
Elizabeth Morrison (Stonington, CT/Stonington) led all players with seven draw controls.
