Madison, NJ... The College of New Jersey women's soccer team remained unbeaten as the Lions scored three times in the second half to break open a scoreless game as they came away with a 3-0 victory at FDU-Florham on Tuesday.

The win put the 20
th-ranked Lions at 5-0-2 and the Devils saw their record squared away at 4-4.

After a scoreless opening half, the Lions racked up three goals in 13:04 to pull away. Sophomore
Elizabeth Thoresen (Colts Neck, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) netted the first of those two goals with the game's initial score coming 24:28 into the period. That goal was assisted by junior
Lauren Malajian (Haworth, NJ/Northern Valley). Thoresen struck again 2:23 later to double TCNJ's lead with an assist from senior
Brianna Cummings (Belmar, NJ/Ocean County).

Malajian then added another insurance goal with 7:28 left in regulation to seal the win for the Lions. That goal was assisted by freshman
Marykate Sullivan (Toms River, NJ/Toms River East).

Jessica Weeder (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) recorded the shutout without facing a shot.

The Lions return to New Jersey Athletic play on Saturday, September 26 when they head to Kean University for a 1 p.m. start with Cougars.
