th-ranked Lions undefeated in New Jersey Athletic Conference play at 2-0 and they are 6-0-2 overall.

The loss squared Kean's record at 4-4-1 on the season and they are 0-1-1 against conference opponents.

Thoresen picked up the only goal in the first half 23:01 into the contest as she cashed in on a breakaway.

She made it a 2-0 just over 10 minutes into the second half with an assist from classmate
Jessica Goldman (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery). That goal raised her team-leading total to eight on the season.

The Cougars made things close with a goal in the final 15 minutes, but TCNJ's defense held its ground to protect the win.

Jessica Weeder (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) registered a pair of saves for her sixth win of the fall.

The Lions return home for a conference game on Wednesday, September 26 when they host Stockton University at 7:30 p.m. in Lions Stadium.
