Ewing, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's basketball team captured its third straight win as they turned back Delaware Valley University, 90-68 on Monday evening in Packer Hall.

The Lions improved to 6-2 overall, while the Aggies dropped to 3-4 on the season. Senior
Bobby Brackett (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) led the charge with 24 points on 10-of-12 shooting on the night. He set the tempo on offense as TCNJ shot 52 percent from the floor, netted 11 three-point field goals, and amassed 23 assists on 32 baskets.

Brackett also grabbed 10 rebounds to round out his double-double, while teammate
Corey Stanford (Pittsburgh, PA/Penn Tafford) scored 10 points and grabbed nine boards.

The Lions took command early, receiving a jolt from their bench midway through the opening half. Leading 9-8, sophomore
Liam Byrne (Middletown, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) knocked down a three-pointer. He followed with a feed to freshman
Ryan Jensen (Manasquan, NJ/Manasquan, who converted and TCNJ was off and running. The lead grew to 21-12 when Brackett banked in a layup with 9:02 remaining in the period.

Aggie guard
Daniel Paulson caught fire from long distance, registering a hat trick from behind the arc in less than three minutes to shave the Del Val deficit to two points. But Brackett was relentless in the paint, hitting 6-of-7 shots to finish the half with 15 points and six boards.

The Lions came out sizzling in the second half and it was punctuated by a highlight-reel finish by Jensen. With 12 minutes to play and in the midst of a 10-1 run, Jansen took a feed from
Eric Murdock, Jr. (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) and delivered a thunderous two-handed jam that brought Packer Hall to its feet. Sophomore
Kevin Bloodgood (Oceanport, NJ/Shore Regional) followed with a three-point field goal before junior
Kevin Johnson (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) drilled a jumper and a three-point bucket to cap a 21-run. That put the contest well out of reach.

Senior
Eric Klacik (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) continued to find his rhythm in his second game back, draining three shots from behind the arc to finish with 11 points. With the trio of threes, Klacik passed Gil Vaught '03 and Joe Amari '00 and now ranks fifth all-time in program history with 126 three-point field goals.

Jensen finished with 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocks in the game. Johnson and sophomore
Jordan Glover (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrence) added nine points apiece. Murdock, Jr. dished out a game-high seven assists.

Tyrea Williams led DelVal with 14 points, while
Dom Steifel finished with 12 points.

The Lions return to the floor on Wednesday night when they host Rowan University in Packer Hall at 8 p.m.
