Following a scoreless first half, the Lions (1-2) drew first blood just over two minutes after the intermission. Senior
Domenic Polidoro (Monroe, NJ/Monroe) lofted a cross in the air off of a set piece, and freshman
Sam Monaco (Point Pleasant Boro, NJ/Point Pleasant Boro) found the back of the net with a header to put TCNJ on top. It was the first collegiate goal for Monaco.

The Ducks (1-1), however, responded quickly with the equalizer less than two minutes later on a goal by
Tommy Dorsay. They took a 2-1 advantage in the 62
nd minute, and secured their first victory of the season when Dorsay tallied for the second time with just under 13 minutes remaining in the game.

Aaron Henry was forced to make five saves in the game, including a penalty kick late in the second period. Lions' starting keeper
Jake Nesteruk (Doylestown, Pa/Central Bucks East) made three stops, while sophomore
Dan Walsh (Waldwick, NJ/Waldwick) entered late in the second half and also registered a save.

The Lions will play their home opener on Saturday in the TCNJ Adidas Classic. TCNJ will play Keystone College in the opening contest at 1 p.m. in the soccer complex. They will also square off against Whitworth University at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
