Hoboken, NJ… The College of New Jersey women's soccer continued their impressive season earning a 1-0 win over 16
th-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology (9-3-2) Wednesday night. The second-ranked Lions (14-0) improve to 3-0 against ranked competition on the season having defeated Arcadia University and Johns Hopkins University earlier in the year.

Neither team could break through in the first half, with the teams playing to a near statistical tie. Stevens held a scant 8-7 shot advantage, however the Lions produced a 3-2 advantage in both shots on goal and corners.

The Lions took over in the second half, controlling both the pace of play and breaking through just under four minutes into the period.
Jessica Goldman (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) took a shot that the Ducks goalie was only able to get a fingertip on.
Elizabeth Thoresen (Colts Neck, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) pounced on the loose ball and scored her sixth goal of the season. The assist is the 24
th in Goldman's career, placing her alone in sixth place in the Lion's record book.

The Lions domination of the second half continued, despite not producing another score. TCNJ out-shot Stevens 15-1 in the second half, producing a 22-9 advantage for the game.

Jen McGrogan (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Twp.),
Kelly Wieczerzak (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley), and
Ally DeRiggi (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) each played every minute in front of sophomore
Nicole DiPasquale (Paramus, NJ/Paramus). DiPasquale made two saves and now has 10 solo shutouts on the year.

The Lions will continue their road trip when they visit Kean University Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM. TCNJ can clinch the New Jersey Athletic Conference regular season title with a win paired with a tie or loss by Rowan University.
