Wayne, NJ… The College of New Jersey football team was dominant Saturday afternoon taking down William Paterson 20-0. The Lions improve to 2-6 overall and 2-5 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Pioneers drop to 0-8 overall and 0-7 in league play.

TCNJ got on the board late in the first quarter,
Trevor Osler (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) completed six passes as part of an 11-play 69 yard drive that was capped by a one-yard touchdown run by
Khani Glover (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial). Osler finished the day 23-30 for 215 yards.

Neither team was able to do anything in the remainder of the half, with each side forcing an incomplete pass on fourth down to stop the two deepest drives.

In the third quarter, Glover rushed six times for 34 yards as part of drive that took over six minutes off the clock and set up a Zach Pharo (Marlton, NJ/Bishop Eustace) field goal. Â Glover recorded 18 carries on the game for 71 yards.

The Lions took advantage of a short field following a 17-yard punt to set up a field goal early in the fourth quarter. Osler found
Thomas Koenig (Bayville, NJ/Central Regional) for 22 yards for the big play on the drive. The points were the first in the fourth quarter for the Lions this season. Koenig led the Lions with 73 yards on four catches.

The Lions called on
Connor Owen (Brick Twp., NJ/Brick Memorial) to close out the game. Owen rushed five times for 33 yards including the touchdown that produced the final score. Owen finished with 75 yards on 14 carries.

The defense pitched the shutout behind a solid team effort.
Xavier Santos (Westampton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) led the way with seven tackles.
Rob Agnoni (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) recorded the first interception of his collegiate career. The team recorded seven tackles for loss.

Zach Warcola (Mendham, NJ/Mendham) booted four punts with three travelling over 50 yards and three settling inside the 20 yard line.
