Madison, NJ… The College of New Jersey women's soccer team exploded offensively to defeat Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham 8-0 Thursday night. The third-ranked Lions improved to 6-0 with the win, while the Devils dropped to 5-2.

The Lions jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead on the power of goals from
Jessica Goldman (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery),
Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville), and
Hannah Richman (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor).

TCNJ continued in the second half as Richman delivered a pass that Goldman one-timed to extend the lead to four.
Taylor Nolan (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) followed with a header goal off a feed from
Julianna Bertolino (Medford, NJ/Shawnee).

With the Lions in front 7-0, freshman
Stephanie Figueroa (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) scored the first goal of her collegiate career to produce the final score.

Nicole DiPasquale (Paramus, NJ/Paramus) and
Alexandra Panasuk (Wall Twp., NJ/Wall) combined on the shutout with Panasuk picking up the Lions lone save.

TCNJ out-shot the Devils 37-5.

The Lions will now host New Jersey City University at 1:00 PM on Saturday. The game will be part of Parents and Family Day on TCNJ's campus.
