WALKO'S STRONG WEEK
Randall Walko led the Lions to a pair of NJAC victories last week. In wins over Rutgers-Newark and Rutgers-Camden, Walko averaged 20 points and six rebounds per game. He shot just under 50 percent from the floor for the week. He leads the NJAC in scoring, averaging 21 points per game.
LEADING THE CONFERENCE
TCNJ leads the conference in three pointers made, averaging 10 makes from downtown per game. The Lions also turn the ball over at the lowest rate in the NJAC at 14.3 turnovers per game.
JENSEN'S BLOCK PARTY
Ryan Jensen tops the NJAC in total blocked shots and in blocked shots per game. He has 10 blocks this season, good for a league-leading average of 1.43 per game.
ABOUT MONTCLAIR STATE
Montclair State has won three straight games, all in NJAC play, to move its overall record to 8-1 and its conference record to 4-0. Montclair State sits atop the league standings. After a pair of 20-point wins over Ramapo and Kean, the Red Hawks defeated New Jersey City, 81-76, on Wednesday.
Akbar Hoffman leads Montclair State and is ranked second in the NJAC in scoring, averaging 20.3 points per game, just behind TCNJ's Walko. Hoffman leads the NJAC in field goals and ranks second in three-point shooting.
