Osceola, FL… The College of New Jersey softball team was dominant winning a pair of games in shutout fashion, defeating Utica College 8-0 in six innings on a walk-off hit by
Megan Mayernik (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington).
Alanna Namit (Mountainside, NJ/Governor Livingston) pitched her second no-hitter is as many games, as the Lions defeated Trinity College (CT) 9-0 in five innings. TCNJ improved to 6-2 on the season.

In game one, the Lions broke open a defensive battle in the bottom of the fourth. Mayernik scored on a two-out fielding error.
Lauren Conroy followed with an RBI single.
Helena Coppola (Lincroft, NJ/St. John Vianney) then delivered a two-run triple to the fence down the right field line.

In the sixth, following a run scoring wild pitch,
Annalise Suitovsky (Warren Twp., NJ/Watchung Hills) doubled to the gap in right center, setting up Mayernik's walk-off that went to the fence in left center. Mayernik leads the Lions with a .560 average this season.

The Lions offense remained hot for game two, Suitovsky led off the top of the third with a walk, then Mayernik forced the Bantoms defense into a throwing error on the ensuing sacrifice bunt attempt, allowing Suitovsky to score from first. Mayernik would later score on a
Madison Levine (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) sacrifice fly.
Kaitlin Kocinski (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) supplied the big hit in the game with a two-run bomb over the center field fence in the same inning.

In the fourth, Suitovsky again reached on a leadoff walk and would come around to score, this time on an RBI from
Gaby Bennett (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert). Kocinski came up big again with a two-run single that made the lead 7-0. Kocinski and Conroy would score on a Bantom error later in the inning to produce the final score.

The Lions will enjoy an off day tomorrow, before returning for a pair of games against Eastern Connecticut State and New York University on Tuesday.
