Haverford, PA... The College of New Jersey men's tennis team suffered a second straight defeat, falling 6-3 to Haverford College Wednesday afternoon. The Lions are now 3-2 on the season, while the Fords improve to 6-2.
For the second straight dual, the Lions went to tiebreaks at second and third doubles and for the second straight match,
Omar Bokhari (Lake Hiawatha, NJ/Parsippany) and
Tim Gavornik (Millington, NJ/Watchung Hills) came away victorious.
Gavornik was also a winner in singles, taking a 6-7 (8-6), 6-1, 11-9 win.
Thomas Wright (Upper Saddle River, NJ/Upper Saddle River) was the Lions final winner, victorious 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) in straight sets.
The Lions will host Wilkes College at 12:00 PM tomorrow afternoon.
