Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey men's and women's tennis teams celebrated their five collective graduating members with a pair of victories over SUNY Oneonta. The men took seven of nine matches to end the year, while the women sweep all nine. The men's team ends the season at 8-6, while the women prepare for the NCAA Tournament at 13-1.
For the men,
Matt Puig (Allendale, NJ/Northern Highlands) led the way. He team with
Thomas Wright (Upper Saddle River, NJ/Upper Saddle River) for an 8-3 win at first doubles, then earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles. Wright and
Tim Gavornik (Millington, NJ/Watchung Hills) each took a pair of matches on the day as both won at singles in straight sets.
For the women, graduating seniors led the way.
Sneha Rangu (East Windsor, NJ/Mercer County Health Science Academy) teamed with
Alyssa Baldi (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) for an 8-0 win at second doubles before winning in straight sets at first singles.
Maddy Stoner (Ewing, NJ/Ewing) paired with 2016 ITA Doubles All-American partner
Grace Minassian (Closter, NJ/Northern Valley Demarest) for what was likely the last time on TCNJ's campus winning 8-3. Both earned straight set singles wins.
Danna Tsay (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) earned an 8-0 win at third doubles and.
Brittany Reedman (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) won 6-1, 6-2 at third singles.
