EWING, N.J. – The 7th ranked College of New Jersey women's soccer team defeated Rutgers-Camden in New Jersey Athletic Conference action by a final score of 2-0. TCNJ pushed its record to 6-1 including 3-0 in conference play with the win while Rutgers-Camden fell to 4-5-1 and 1-1-1 in the NJAC.
The Lions got on the board first 12 minutes in with an own goal by the Rutgers-Camden defense.
Nikki Butler sent in a cross from the left sideline that was deflected in to make it 1-0.
In net for the Lions,
Nicole DiPasquale denied a pair of Scarlet Raptor through balls that had scoring potential. The Lions took a 1-0 lead into the locker room, and in the opening period they outshot the Scarlet Raptors 9-0.
The rain began to fall in the second half, however the Lions came out of the break fast. In the 57
th minute,
Arielle Curtis scored to put the Lions up 2-0. Curtis controlled a clear attempt and let one fly from 35 yards out that snuck inside of the left post. The remainder of the game was controlled by the Lions as they held onto their 15
th straight victory over Rutgers-Camden.

Ally DeRiggi, and
Faith Eichenour shut down the Scarlet Raptors attack as they did not relinquish a shot.
The Lions will return to the pitch on Saturday, Sept. 29, to face William Paterson University in Lions Stadium at 1:00 p.m. Saturday is also Parent and Family Day.
