Men's Soccer Falls at William Paterson

WAYNE N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's soccer team fell to William Paterson University in a conference match on Saturday by a final score of 2-0. The Lions fall to 7-3 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC, while the Pioneers improved to 6-3-1 and 2-2 in conference play.

Dromo Quaye led the way for the Pioneers, scoring in the 29th minute. Daniel Mecadon made the save on a Pioneer shot, but Quaye was in place to take advantage of the rebound. The Pioneers took the 1-0 advantage into the half.

Before either team could settle in after the break, Quaye struck again, scoring in the 48th minute to produce the final score.

The William Paterson defense was stifling, holding TCNJ to just four shots on the game.

Mecadon made five saves in the game. Michael Maltese took a pair of shots to lead TCNJ.

The Lions will be back at it with another NJAC game on Saturday, October 6th, when they will travel to Kean University for a 4:00 p.m. start.
