GLASSBORO, N.J. – The TCNJ men's swimming & diving team fell to Rowan University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference meet on Saturday by a final score of 167-133.
Griffin Morgan won the 1000-free, as he swam to a time of 9:53.89 to top the competition. Morgan won three events total on the afternoon, as he also took first in the 200-fly with a 1:55.17 time, and the 200-IM with a time of 2:00.23.
Harrison Yi took first place in the 200-free with a time of 1:41.95. Yi also took second in the 500-free with a time of 4:48.68.
Andrew Thompson won the 200-back with a time of 1:53.79, as well as the 100-fly with a time of 51.75.
Alex Skoog placed second in the 100-back as he swam to a 52.16, and the 100-free with a time of 46.87.
Patrick Bakey claimed second in the 50-free as he swam to a time of 22.04.
Derek Kneisel placed third in the 200-back with a time of 2:00.78, while
Sam Maquet took third place in the 200-fly with a time of 1:57.68.
The TCNJ 400-freestyle relay squad of Yi, Morgan, Thompson, and Skoog placed first with a time of 3:10.16.
In the diving well,
Jay Soukup placed second in the three meter dive with a score of 266.10.
The Lions will return to the pool on Feb. 2, when they will host William Paterson University. That will also be TCNJ's senior day.
