EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey women's tennis team remained unbeaten Sunday, defeating Wellesley College 7-2. The 22
nd-ranked Lions improved to 12-0 on the season. The 38
th-ranked Blue dropped their second straight match to fall to 4-2 on the season.
TCNJ was strong in doubles play, winning at two and three.
Alyssa Baldi and
Grace Minassian paired for a 8-6 victory, while
Navya Yemula and
Sarah Phung combined for an 8-5 win.
TCNJ took control in singles play.
Julia Yoon won in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. Baldi, Minassian,
Katrine Luddy, and
Liya Davidov each won in three sets. Davidov won the decisive match at number one to clinch the victory.
The Lions return to action Saturday, Mar. 16 when they host New York University. Action is set to begin at 10 a.m.
