FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The College of New Jersey women's tennis team dropped a math to highly ranked University of Mary Washington Saturday. The 23
rd-ranked Lions are now 12-3, while the 19
th-ranked Eagles are 9-2 after the 7-2 match.
The Eagles were dominant in doubles play capturing all three matches.
In singles play,
Liya Davidov won the opening set at number one before taking the victory due to retirement. At number four,
Alyssa Baldi dropped the opening set, before storming back to win the second 6-1. In a third set super-breaker, Baldi won 10-7.
The Lions return to the courts Saturday, Apr. 6, when they host Ithaca College at 12:30 p.m.
