HOPEWELL, N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's tennis team fought through a difficult match Saturday night, defeating Salisbury University 5-4. The 30
th-ranked Lions improved to 5-0, handing the Seagulls their second straight loss to send them to 5-2.

Salisbury took the advantage in doubles play winning two of three matches. All three matches went to tiebreakers.
Thomas Wright and
Mitchel Sanders were the lone Lions to come out on top, taking the tiebreak 7-2.

In singles play, the Lions stormed back.
Tim Gavornik won in straight sets. Sanders and
Justin Wain each won in three sets with Wain taking a tiebreak. Wright would be the man to clinch the match at number six. Wright dropped the opening set, but fought back to win the second and third and secure the team victory.

The Lions return to action next Saturday, Mar. 16 when they host New York University. Play begins at 12 p.m.
