HOBOKEN, N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's tennis held a 4-2 lead with three singles matches remaining, but Stevens Institute of Technology rallied for the 5-4 victory Wednesday night. The 29
th-ranked Lions dropped to 14-3 on the season, while the Ducks improved to 10-9.

Andrew Mok and
Matt Puig got the Lions off to an early lead in doubles play with an 8-5 win at number three.
Mitchel Sanders and
Gokul Murugesan followed with an 8-6 victory at number two. In a matchup of regionally ranked teams at number one,
Matthew Michibata and
Tim Gavornik fell 8-5.

After a Stevens win on court four, Michibata and Sanders each earned three set victories with dominant third sets to increase the Lions lead to 4-2.
Justin Wain got off to a strong start with a first set win, but his opponent fought back to take a three set match. Another Ducks win on court five made the sixth and final court for the team match.

Achyuth Balijepalle won the opening set 6-4. In a tight, second set his opponent responded with a 7-5 win. In the final set, Balijepalle was eventually defeated 6-4.

The Lions wrap up their regular season on senior day Saturday when they host SUNY Oneonta at 11 a.m.
