EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey celebrated senior day in style, defeating SUNY Oneonta 9-0 Saturday. After the match, the team honored its five graduating senior members,
Achyuth Balijepalle,
Tim Gavornik,
Jacob Kaminsky,
Matt Puig, and
Mitchel Sanders.

With the win, the 29
th-ranked Lions closed out the regular season at 15-3. The Red Dragons end their regular season at 9-8.

The Lions got off to a strong start in doubles play.
Andrew Mok and Puig combined for an 8-1 win at number three. The win moved Puig into the top ten in program history for career doubles victories. Gavornik and
Matthew Michibata teamed for an 8-2 win at number one. At number two, Sanders and
Gokul Murugesan won 8-5.

In singles play, Sanders,
Justin Wain, Puig, Balijepalle, and
Nikola Kilibarda each won in straight sets. Michibata needed three sets at number two, but came away with the victory.

The Lions now await their NCAA Tournament fate. TCNJ is searching for one of two pool B slots. The entire bracket will be released in an NCAA.com press release on Monday, May 6.
