th career hit came in that span, doubling to right to score Borup to make it 3-0. McCarthy had an RBI single to make it 4-0,
Cameron Cane singled home Cardona to make it 5-0, and McCarthy scored on a wild pitch to make it 6-0.
Â
Borup came up again in the inning with the bases loaded, and he singled to score Giacose and
Gary Otten to make it 8-0. A fielding error one hitter later allowed two unearned runs to score to cap the inning with TCNJ leading, 10-0.
Â
Simon becomes the third TCNJ player this season to reach 100 career hits, joining Borup and McCarthy. He's a career .305 hitter as a junior in 91 games played.
Â
Farmingdale State entered the game receiving votes in the latest D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 poll, and the Rams were also ranked 10
th in the nation in team ERA.
Â
TCNJ returns to conference action on Thursday at home against Stockton. That game will begin at 3:30 p.m.
