PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference released its weekly award winners on Monday.
Ally DeRiggi of the TCNJ women's soccer team was selected as NJAC Defensive Player of the Week.
DeRiggi scored the opening goal in TCNJ's 7-0 victory against Widener University. The senior defender punched in a header off of a corner kick in the fifth minute to give the Lions the lead. In both the win over Widener and the 6-0 victory over Rutgers-Newark, DeRiggi helped the defensive efforts on the way to a shutout.
No. 7/10 TCNJ is currently 6-1 on the season, and 1-0 in conference play. The Lions are at home tonight against York College (Pa.) for a 6:30 p.m. start.
