Third-ranked
Jake Giordano and tenth-ranked Kordell Rush both knew that the team victory was already decided before they took the mat, but the match had the same intensity as if the team score had been tied. Rush chose bottom to begin the third and escaped easily within the first six seconds. With just 23 seconds remaining in regulation, Giordano completed his shot to earn the takedown. Rush would escape in the waning seconds of the match, but did not have enough time to fire an attack. Giordano improved to 27-1 on the season with the victory.
Â
The win for the Lions is their 15
th-straight dual, and TCNJ has now won 31 of their last 32 duals, dating back to last season. TCNJ has also won five straight against the Aggies.
Â
The Lions will put their winning streak to the test Saturday afternoon when they travel to 17
th-ranked Messiah for a dual at noon.
