MANHEIM, Pa. – The TCNJ wrestling team saw six student-athletes earn Scholar All-America honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).
D.J. Henry,
Sam Kotch,
Hunter Mays,
Colin Menier,
Andrew Mucciolo, and
Garrett Totten all received the prestigious honor, which requires the following lofty benchmarks:
- WRESTLING - Must accomplish at least 1 of the 2
- Place in top 8 in the regional tournament
- Wrestle at least 15 matches and have a win percentage greater than 66%.
- ACADEMICS - Must accomplish at least 1 of the 2
- Must have an average GPA of 3.2 over the last 2 semesters or quarters or last 3 trimesters
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2
Mays and Totten were also NCAA champions on the mat, and Henry was an NCAA qualifier.
Kotch ends his career as a three-time Scholar All-American, while Henry, Mays, and Menier each have a pair of Scholar All-America awards to their credit. Mucciolo and Totten became Scholar All-Americans for the first time.
TCNJ has posted at least six Scholar All-Americans every year since 2019.
