GILBERT, Ariz. – The TCNJ field hockey team landed 14 student-athletes on the 2019 ZAG Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, announced by the organization on Thursday.

The Division III National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year.

Leading the Lions on the squad are seniors
Maddie Beaumont,
Jillian Farley, and
Kayla Peterson. All three were members of the Division III National Academic Squad for each of the last four years.

Junior
Samantha Reed made her third appearance on the squad. Classmate
Rachel Dultz made her first appearance.

Sophomores
Dani Britton,
Lauren Cammarata, and
Sophie Popp each made their second-straight appearance on the list. Classmate
Sara Waldron made her first appearance.

Five freshmen joined the squad.
Kayla Cichlar,
Shannon Decosta,
Jess Hatch,
Rachel Infantolino, and
Alli Yocum made the list in their first season.

Thursday's award was the second in a series of academic awards by the NFHCA. On March 5, the Lions earned the National Academic Team Award. The Scholars of Distinction will be announced on March 25, and the National Scholar-Athlete will be released on April 2.
