MONTCLAIR N.J. – The go-ahead goal from
Christina Cammarata in the fourth quarter of the No. 13 TCNJ field hockey's game at Montclair on Saturday night turned out to the be the game-winner as the Lions held on for a 2-1 victory.

The Lions took a 1-0 lead early in the second quarter on
Sophia Foschini's goal at 1:06 of the second quarter. She knocked the ball home from three yards out with an assist to
Mia Lanzilotta.

That was the only goal of the first half, but the Lions did outshoot Montclair, 10-5. TCNJ also held a 9-3 first-half advantage in penalty corners, a lead they extended to 14-3 by the end of the game.

After a defensive third quarter where the Lions had the only shot, Montclair used its only shot of the second half to tie the score just 33 seconds into the fourth quarter.

The Lions retook the lead soon, though, on Cammarata's fourth goal of the season. Foschini set her up with a flip pass off a rebound, and she scored from five yards out to give the Lions a 2-1 lead.

TCNJ ended the game with an 18-6 advantage in shots. Foschini led the team with five shots, and Cammarata had four.
Claire Engebreth had three shots off the bench.
