EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ men's soccer team handed Lancaster Bible just its second loss of the season on Wednesday night at Lions Stadium, 3-2. TCNJ outshot the Chargers, 14-12.
The Lions got off to a 1-0 advantage in the 27
th minute when
Justin Dominique floated a shot over LBC keeper Isaac Barrow from a tough angle on the right side. The goal is Dominique's fifth of the season, the highest on the team.
The Chargers (7-2-2) tied the game in the final minute of the first half, but TCNJ answered with the next two goals in the second half.
In the 60
th minute, Dominique was brought down in the box by Barrow, prompting a penalty kick for the Lions.
Luke Pascarella took the PK, and he scored low to make it 2-1.
Ryan Santos gave the Lions some breathing room in the 72
nd minute with a rush down the center of the field and a bullet to the upper right corner from 25 yards out past a sprawling Barrow.
That proved to be the game winner when Lancaster Bible pulled back to within a goal on a nice feed from the left side by Kedric Yoder to Devyn Kintzer in front in the 79
th minute.
That 3-2 TCNJ advantage stuck for the final 11 minutes, though, as the Lions improved to 3-1 at home on the season.
The Lions hit the road and head back into NJAC action on Saturday at New Jersey City.
