EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ men's tennis team found itself in a tight battle on Saturday afternoon against Southern Virginia.
Rahul Panoli pulled out a victory at sixth singles to give the Lions a 5-4 victory in their first action of the season.

Panoli dominated his opponent, winning in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2.

The Lions found themselves in a hole following doubles play.
Justin Wain and
Matthew Michibata won a tiebreak, 8-6, on court one to provide TCNJ with its only doubles point. The Knights won the other two doubles matches by identical 8-6 scores.

The Lions quickly began the comeback in singles play.

Adrian Tsui, and
Akul Telluri each won in straight sets as the Lions took a 4-3 lead and set up Panoli's clinching match.

TCNJ returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Coppin State at noon.
