EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team extended its winning streak to 13-straight matches, defeating Coppin State University, 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions improve to 2-0 on the season, while the Eagles dropped to 0-6.

The Lions improve to 9-0 against competition outside of Division III since the start of the 2015-16 season with the victory over the Division I opponent.

Reigning NJAC Player of the Week,
Charlotte Roarty, was dominant again. She teamed with
Jenny Landells for an 8-4 win at first doubles, then did not lose a game in singles play for the second-straight match to open the year at first singles.
Chase Eisenberg, the reigning NJAC Rookie of the Week, teamed with
Alexa Vasile at second doubles. The pair claimed an 8-1 win. Eisenberg then won in straight sets on court four in singles play, winning 6-1, 6-1.

Elsewhere in singles play,
Liya Davidov fought back from down a set to win a third set superbreaker, taking the match on court two 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 10-5.
Katrine Luddy won a third set superbreaker at third singles, also fighting back from down a set for a 4-6, 6-1, 10-7 win.
Anusha Rangu won in straight sets on court five 6-3, 7-6.

The Lions return to action on Friday when they begin NJAC play with a trip to William Paterson.
