EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ softball team will face Stockton in a home NJAC doubleheader on Tuesday, April 6. First pitch for game one will be at 2:30 p.m.

HOME SWEET HOME!
On Saturday, TCNJ swept Ramapo by scores of 7-2 and 8-0 in the Lions' first home games in nearly two full years. The Lions are now 26-6 at Dr. June Walker Field dating back to the beginning of the 2018 season.
In game one, the Lions' bats tallied 11 hits.
Kaci Neveling went 3-4 with a run scored, while
Julia Mayernik and
Julia Kinnally each went 2-3. Kinnally recorded two RBIs and two doubles.
Ally Schlee earned her first career win in the circle with six strong innings pitched. She struck out seven batters while only walking three.
In game two, TCNJ scored eight runs on seven hits to earn the win in five innings.
Kaitlin Kocinski went 2-2 with an RBI, while
Allie Immerso went 1-2 with a two-RBI double.
Gillian Roberts pitched a complete game shutout to record her first career win. Roberts allowed only three hits on the day.
MAYERNIK NAMED NJAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Mayernik was selected as NJAC Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday. The freshman catcher went 3-5 at the plate on Saturday with a pair of RBIs and a pair of runs scored. She also played strong defense behind the plate, as she did not allow any passed balls or commit any errors, while allowing only one stolen base. The honor marked the first NJAC one for Mayernik in her career.
SERIES HISTORY
TCNJ has won the last five games against Stockton, dating back to April 17, 2018. These two teams last met in the first round of the 2019 NJAC Tournament, when TCNJ pulled out a narrow 3-2 victory. The Lions went on to win the NJAC Championship in 2019.

After today's games, TCNJ will return to action on April 10 for an away doubleheader at Kean.
