PITMAN, N.J. – TCNJ freshman catcher
Ryan Goodall used some clutch hitting to help the Lions advance to the NJAC Tournament semifinals this weekend against William Paterson, and it also helped him to earn another NJAC Rookie of the Week award.
Goodall hit .273 in the Lions' best-of-three series victory over Ramapo over the weekend. He had two doubles and four RBIs, and the biggest hit of his young career came in Sunday's Game 3 win. With the Lions down to their last out of the season as they trailed, 3-2, Goodall hit a two-run double to push the Lions into the lead. He also slugged .455 and posted a .400 on-base percentage in the series.
Goodall last week was named the NJAC Player and Rookie of the Year, a first for the league. He and the Lions will face William Paterson in another best-of-three playoff series starting on Friday.
