EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ softball team will face Stockton in the NJAC Semifinals on Tuesday, May 11. The second-seeded Lions and sixth-seeded Ospreys will battle for a trip to the conference championship in a three-game set. Game two will be after the conclusion of game one, and game three, if-necessary, will be played on May 12. The semifinals are a best-of-three series.

TCNJ SWEEPS RUTGERS-CAMDEN IN THE QUARTERFINALS
The Lions advanced to the semis by way of a two-game sweep over Rutgers-Camden. TCNJ dominated game one to take a 10-0, five-inning win, then won a tight, low-scoring 2-0 game two.
In game one,
Eliza Sweet threw a complete-game shutout. She went all five innings and surrendered only two singles while striking out six batters. Sweet improved to 7-2 with the win. The Lions' offense tallied 14 hits in the game-one victory, led by 3-3 efforts from
Allie Immerso and
Julia Kinnally. Kinnally also ripped her third home run of the season.
In game two,
Alanna Namit tossed a complete-game shutout. Namit allowed only three singles while striking out nine batters to improve to 8-1 this season.
The Lion bats tallied seven hits in game two, led by a 3-3 effort from
Elyse Nardozza. An RBI sacrifice fly from
Katie Winchock and a solo home run from
Lauren Conroy provided the scoring for TCNJ.
CONROY NAMED NJAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Conroy earned NJAC Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference on Monday. Conroy had a terrific day at the plate, going 3-4 with three RBIs, a home run, and three runs scored. She posted an impressive slugging percentage of 1.750 and a strong on-base percentage of .857.
SEASON SERIES
The Lions swept the Ospreys back on April 6 by final scores of 9-5 and 5-1. TCNJ totaled 12 hits in game one led by a 3-4, two-RBI outing from Conroy. In game two, TCNJ picked up 11 hits led by two hits each from
Kaci Neveling,
Julia Mayernik,
Julia Kinnally, and Conroy. Namit shut the Stockton offense down and allowed only two hits.
The Lions have won the last seven games against the Ospreys dating back to April 17, 2018.
CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES AWAITS
The conference's other semifinal pod features the No. 1 seed Rowan against the No. 4 seed Kean. The best-of-three championship series will be played on May 14 and 15.
The Lions won the last NJAC Championship, which took place in 2019. TCNJ has won 11 conference titles in program history.
