Softball Quartet Garners Academic All-District Honors

5/26/2026 12:02:00 PM

EWING, N.J. - TCNJ Softball's Gianna Vazquez, Morgan Estelow, Maya Knasiak and Grace Brouillard were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization this afternoon.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Vazquez's Academic All-District selection is the second of her career and first since 2024. A criminology major with a 3.80 GPA, the senior started 39 games at second base in her final season in Ewing, slashing .289/.307/.364 with career highs in hits (35) and RBIs (14) en route to earning All-NJAC Second Team honors.

Estelow, a kinesiology & health sciences major with a 3.51 cumulative GPA, repeated as an Academic All-District honoree following a career-best senior campaign in which she also earned an All-Conference honorable mention nod. Estelow started 35 games in the outfield for the Lions, slashing .297/.363/.376 with career highs in hits (20), RBIs (21) and stolen bases (16).

Knasiak joins Vazquez and Estelow as two-time honorees following her second straight Academic All-District selection. A mechanical engineering major with a 3.79 GPA, the junior did it all for TCNJ in 2026, leading the charge in the circle en route to her first NJAC Pitcher of the Year distinction while also slashing .367/.412/.656 at the plate. Knasiak ranked in the top 10 nationally in shutouts (1st / 10), WHIP (2nd / 0.60), ERA (6th / 0.86) and strikeouts (7th / 150), ending the season with more RBIs at the dish (25) than earned runs allowed in the circle (17).

Brouillard rounds out the Lions Academic All-District honorees with the first selection of her young career. An elementary inclusive education major with a 3.97 GPA, the sophomore stepped into a starting role and hit .318 with seven RBIs and 16 doubles. Most impressively, Brouillard finished the season as one of just two players in all of Division III to take at least 100 at-bats without striking out.

Voting for the Academic All-America Softball teams begins this afternoon with recipients to be announced Tuesday, June 16.
