NEWARK, N.J – Two goals in the second half from
Justin Dominique lifted the TCNJ men's soccer team over Penn State Behrend on Sunday. The Lions improved to 2-3 on the year while Penn State Behrend fell to 2-3 in the Rutgers-Newark Brick City Classic.
Penn State Behrend scored first in the 63
rd minute, but the Lions had the equalizer less than two minutes later. Dominique found the back of the net off assists from
Luke Pascarella and
Timmy Suchora to lock the game up at 1-1.
It appeared as if the game was heading into overtime, but Dominique came through in the clutch in the 86
th minute off an assist from
Julian Franco. The two goals put Dominique at three for the young season.
Franco registered three saves in net to record the win. TCNJ out-shot Penn State Behrend, 14-13.
The Lions will resume play with a road match at Drew on Wednesday.
