Julian Franco made seven saves, but the Lions fell at Rowan, 1-0. The loss is the first for TCNJ in NJAC play in 2021.
The decider and the lone goal of the night for Rowan came in the 60
th minute. Matias Carrion scored after he corralled a loose ball in the box and found a way to beat Franco.
The Lions had a flurry about 10 minutes prior to the Rowan tally. TCNJ had two corner kicks and three shots in a three-minute stretch, with shots by
Sebastian Hernandez and
Ryan Santos both saved by Rowan keeper James Weinberg.
TCNJ returns home to host Montclair State on Saturday at 6 p.m. as part of Homecoming and Parent & Family Day.
