EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team added another Division II win to its resume on Sunday afternoon, dominating visiting Kutztown with a 9-0 sweep.
The victory was the second over a Division II squad for the Lions (9-2), who also knocked off University of the Sciences back in February.
Chase Eisenberg and
Alexa Vasile blanked Brianna Wendling and Jess Marks, 8-0, on the No. 2 doubles court to get TCNJ started.
Aira Abalos and
Anusha Rangu posted an 8-2 victory over Jessika Klo and Sarah Lazarchak at No. 3, just before
Charlotte Roarty and
Jenny Landells matched that score line on court number one opposite Catherine Maher and Claudia Makarski.
Singles was no more difficult for the Lions, who dropped just 12 combined games across the six matches.
Rangu (No. 4) and Roarty (No. 1) each rolled to 6-0, 6-0 shutouts, while Abalos was a 6-1, 6-0 victor against Maher on the No. 2 court.
Eisenberg handled Wendling 6-1, 6-1 in the fifth flight.
Vasile secured a 6-1, 6-3 win over Marks at number three before
Morgan Grimmie polished off the afternoon with a 6-2, 6-3 defeat of Klo.
The Lions return to NJAC play with a road trip to Stockton on Wednesday.
