UNION, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team made short work of a road trip to Kean on Tuesday, not dropping a single game in a 6-0 singles-only shutout.
Charlotte Roarty (No. 1),
Aira Abalos (No. 2),
Alexa Vasile (No. 3),
Anusha Rangu (No. 4),
Chase Eisenberg (No. 5), and
Jenny Landells (No. 6) all won by 6-0, 6-0 score lines. It was the first time this season that the Lions accomplished the rare feat.
Doubles play was canceled due to rain, leaving TCNJ with a 6-0 final score.
Roarty's victory was her 27
th overall, matching her career high for a single season.
The Lions have a double feature on tap for Friday's home finale, a Senior Day doubleheader with NJAC foes Ramapo and William Paterson. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
