PITMAN, N.J. – The TCNJ softball team will play Rowan in a single-game, winner-take-all NJAC Championship Game on Sunday afternoon at Kean, the conference announced on Saturday morning. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Due to the poor weather throughout the weekend and the need for the NJAC to declare its champion prior to the NCAA's deadline of Sunday night, the tournament has been cut down to the two remaining 2-0 teams.
NJAC policy dictates that should the conference tournament not be completed and a team have a 3-0 record in the tournament, that team will earn the conference's title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Given TCNJ and Rowan are both 2-0 so far, the natural conclusion is to have the two teams face off for the conference title.
