No. 2 Women’s Soccer Tops Redlands, 4-1

HOBOKEN, N.J. – The No. 2 TCNJ women's soccer team concluded the Engineering Cup at Stevens with a big 4-1 victory over Redlands on Sunday afternoon. Victoria D'Imperio scored twice, and Gianna Coppola had a goal and three assists.

It was the Lions' leading scorer who got things going as Lindsay O'Keefe scored the lone goal of the first half when she scored on a cross from Coppola in the 16th minute. That staked TCNJ to an early 1-0 lead.

TCNJ dominated the first half despite only leading, 1-0, with an 11-1 advantage in shots. TCNJ won the shots advantage,21-6, for the game while holding a 13-3 lead in shots on goal.

The Lions blew the game open in the second half, scoring three times in a 17-minute span. D'Imperio scored in the 51st minute with an assist from Coppola, and Coppola scored her goal in the 61st minute.

TCNJ made it 4-0 when D'Imperio scored inside the six-yard box on the third of Coppola's assists.

Redlands added a goal in the 84th minute when the game was far out of reach.

Coppola led the team with three shots, and a whole host of Lions had a pair. Allie O'Keefe, Emma Pascarella and Ella Van Dine were among the players with two shots.
