EWING, N.J.-Â In the most recent NWCA Dual Rankings, released on Thursday afternoon, the TCNJ wrestling team secured the ninth position. The Lions (4-1) maintain their standing from the previous poll, holding the top spot in the Mideast Region.

TCNJ is also ranked 14
th nationally as a team in tournaments.
Three wrestlers earned another national ranking inÂ
Nick Sacco (165),Â
Matthew Griffin (125) andÂ
Peter Wersinger (285).
Â
Sacco continues to hold the national ranking of second and is the top spot in the Mideast at 165 lbs. following an impressive 7-3 start to the season, including one pin.

Griffin, competing at 125 lbs, boasts a strong record of 10-2 in his freshman season. He is currently ranked 8th nationally and secures the second position in the Mideast Region.

Wersinger, competing at 285 lbs, has achieved a solid record of 12-3 in 2023. He currently holds the 14th national ranking and stands at the third position in the Mideast Region.

Along with those three, seven additional Lions secured regional rankings.
Larry Melchionda (4th at 141),
Austin Raynor (4th at 184),
James Romaine (4th at 174),
Ryan Datz (4th at 157),
Kyle Nase (5th at 133),
Mike Conklin (6th at 149), and
Chris Stavrou (7th at 197) complete the list of TCNJ's ranked wrestlers.

The Lions will be back on the mat on January 5th in Cedar Falls, Iowa, for the NWCA National Duals.
