Box Score CAMDEN, N.J.- The TCNJ baseball team fell to Rutgers-Camden on Thursday by a final count of 12-4.

The Lions got on the board first in the top of the first coming off of a
Chris Reeder sacrifice fly to right field, scoring
Mike LaGravenis and giving TCNJ the early lead. LaGravenis led the game off with a walk, advanced to second on a fielder's choice and to third via passed ball.

The Scarlet-Raptors took the lead in the bottom of the second and never gave it back as they scored five runs on three hits and two errors in the field by TCNJ.

In the third, TCNJ tacked on another two to pull within two runs on two hits and two errors by Rutgers-Camden. With two on and one out, Reeder reached base on a throwing error by the pitcher which allowed
Ryan Goodall and LaGravenis to score. LaGravenis reached base with a single to right center and Goodall walked.

Over the fourth, fifth and sixth, the Scarlet-Raptors began to pull away as they scored two runs in each inning on a total of four hits.

In the top of the sixth,
Zach Weiner drove in
Sebastian JnoBaptiste with a groundout to the shortstop, bringing the score to 11-4.

Rutgers-Camden scored one more run in the eighth and held the Lions scoreless after the sixth to pick up the win.

Weiner and JnoBaptiste highlighted the Lions on offense for the day as they each had a pair of hits while JnoBaptiste also had a run scored.

TCNJ heads back home to Ackerman Park to take on the Scarlet Raptors on Friday in game two of this two-game set with first pitch scheduled for 1:30 PM.
