LOUISVILLE, KY. – A week after receiving votes, the TCNJ Softball team shot up into an 18th-place ranking in the newest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) top-25 coaches' poll, as revealed by the organization early on Tuesday.  

With a 29-9 record on the year and a conference title, the Lions received 80 points to enter the top-20 after a huge conference tournament week that included a shutout win over previously 16th-ranked Rowan, as well as two against a NCAA Qualifying Ramapo team, one of which came in the title game.

The No. 18 Lions will compete in the NCAA Regionals round this weekend down in Virginia Beach, where No. 13 Virginia Wesleyan will play host. Their first game of the regionals will be against Manhattanville College on Thursday, May 18. 

The NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll is selected by 10 NCAA Division III head coaches representing the 10 NCAA regions.
