WINCHESTER, VA.- The TCNJ baseball team took the nation by storm on Friday, defeating No. 3 ranked Shenandoah University with a commanding 22-9 victory in round one of the NCAA Regional.
Â
After falling behind 4-1 in the second, the Lions exploded on the offensive end scoring seventeen runs over the next four innings compared to just one from the Hornets.
Â
By the fifth inning, everyone in the lineup had recorded a hit while all but two TCNJ hitters had multiple hits on Friday.
Ryan Goodall,
Jack Felipe and
Justin Marcario all homered with Goodall and Marcario hitting two-run bombs while Felipe put up four with a no-doubt Grand Slam.

Â
Starter
Ben Amon did exactly what was asked of him today, to chew up innings. While he gave up 10 hits and allowed seven runs, he got out of the innings necessary and denied the Hornets any chance of getting back into this one. He then passed it on to
Ethan Earley to close out the last two innings.
