PITMAN, N.J. – Four TCNJ student-athletes were named for NJAC Athletes of the Week honors, as revealed by the Conference Office Monday afternoon.
A pair won for football, with senior
Thomas Burke winning Offensive Player of the Week while fellow senior
Logan Flaherty was named the top Defensive Player. Sophomore
Emily Dvorsky took home Defensive Player of the Week for field hockey. Rounding out the quartet,
Victoria D'Imperio was tabbed the best Offensive Player for women's soccer.
FIELD HOCKEY
Dvorsky scored the lone goal in both games for the Lions this week. The sophomore's goal against Ursinus in the fourth quarter cut the deficit by one. Her early goal against Arcadia proved to be the game-winner for the Lions.
FOOTBALL
Burke had six receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's game at Franklin & Marshall.
Flaherty turned in a strong all-around performance at F&M, posting a sack among his seven tackles and recovering a fumble that he forced early in the third quarter. He also broke up a pass and notched two quarterback hurries.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
In last Wednesday 4-0 victory against Stevens, D'Imperio put together her first career hat trick on a career night in which she also reached the 50-point mark as a Lion.
