Division III All-America Teams
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – TCNJ women's soccer senior stars
Ava Curtis and
Victoria D'Imperio garnered repeat selections to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Team, released Thursday by the organization.
Â
Curtis was named to the first team as a defender, while D'Imperio made the second team at midfield.
Â
The duo now joins a prestigious list of 10 multi-time All-Americans in program history, etching their names in TCNJ lore alongside Kim Faust (1993-95), Traci Tapp (1997-98), Victoria Nusse (1999-2000), Dana DiBruno (2005-07), Courtney Krol (2006-07), Jordan Downs (2013-14), Christine Levering (2016-17), and Nicole DiPasquale (2017, 2019).
Â
A third-team All-American in 2023, Curtis is one of the most decorated defenders in school history. She was a four-time All-NJAC selection (three-time first team honoree) and a two-time first-team All-Region performer, and was named the NJAC Defender of the Year this fall. She started all but one of her 75 career games, posting 12 goals and 14 assists.
Â
Also a second-team All-American a year ago, D'Imperio continued her ascent up the program's all-time charts this season, scoring 15 goals in addition to a pair of assists. The back-to-back NJAC Midfielder of the Year finished her career fourth in school history with 52 goals and fifth with 116 points. A three-time All-Region honoree (including consecutive first-team nods), D'Imperio joined Curtis as a three-time first-team All-NJAC selection.
Â
The connections between Curtis and D'Imperio go beyond their shared accolades. Both have older sisters who played at TCNJ – Curtis' older siblings Arielle and Amelia are both TCNJWS alums, and Amelia was a D3soccer.com All-American in 2021, while D'Imperio's sister Deanna was a senior in 2021 alongside Amelia Curtis – and both play for Real Central Jersey in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL).
Curtis and D'Imperio - along with a host of other senior starters - led the Lions to a 69-8-7 overall record during their four years in Ewing. The Lions captured three NJAC titles in that span and reached the NCAA championship game in 2021.Â
