EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ men's tennis team followed up a big win on Friday with a 9-0 sweep of Union on Saturday, putting a bow on an impressive weekend inside the Rec Center.
 
FOR THE RECORD

• TCNJ improved to 3-0, while Union conceded its first loss and dropped to 1-1

DOUBLES

• Aayush Kishore and Dorian Makarski staked the Lions to a quick lead with an 8-1 rout at No. 2 doubles
• Matthew Michibata and Harrison Maitland-Carter scored an 8-5 win at No. 1
• Brett Schuster and Alberto Thomas finished off the sweep in exciting fashion, scraping out a tiebreaker, 8-7 (3), at No. 3

SINGLES

• Kishore (No. 3) and Thomas (No. 4) made quick work of their opponents, the former winning 6-1, 6-1 and the latter officially sealing the match with a 6-3, 6-1 victory
• Michibata pulled away for a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 1
• Maitland-Carter (6-1, 6-2) and Schuster (6-3, 6-3) posted straight-set wins on courts 5 and 6, respectively
• Adrian Tsui had the tightest match of the day, edging Dimiris Binopoulos 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 at No. 2
