LOUISVILLE, KY. – The TCNJ softball team will kick off the 2024 season as the No. 22 ranked team in Division III, as revealed by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Preseason Poll on Tuesday morning.

Reigning NCAA champion Trine was unanimously voted as the top team in the nation, while Salisbury, Berry and Coe slotted in at No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4. NJAC rival Rowan rounded out the top five.

The Lions are coming off a stellar 2023 season in which the blue and gold finished 32-11, securing the program's sixth NJAC title under head coach Sally Miller and making a trip back to the NCAA Tournament.

TCNJ kicks off the upcoming season later this month, when the Lions host DeSales for a noon doubleheader on Sunday, February 25. The team will also return to the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic for a string of games from March 9 to 13, before traveling up to Salisbury to compete in the Margie Knight Tournament on March 15-16 to wrap up the weeklong road trip.  

The Lions will begin NJAC action with a road doubleheader at Ramapo on March 30, while the NJAC home opener will be against Kean on April 4.
