AUBURNDALE, FL.- The TCNJ baseball team picked up their second win of the season on Sunday in a 5-0 win over Pitt-Greensburg at the RussMatt Invitational. The Lions (2-0) were led by junior RHP
Dan Merkel, as he went seven scoreless with 10 strikeouts against the Bobcats (1-6).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- TCNJ spent the first three innings scoreless but broke the scoring open in the fourth with two runs on two hits.
- The Lions tacked another on in the fifth, extending their lead to 3-0.
- After a trio of walks, Goodall drove in Jack O'Donnell on another sac-fly to center.
- Merkel worked his way out of a jam in the fifth after hitting back-to-back batters. He struck out the next batter and got the final out of the inning on a ground-out to third. He finished his day in style, striking out the side in the home half of the seventh.
- Merkel handed it over to junior LHP Michael Silver for the final six outs as he struck out four and walked one in the scoreless eighth and ninth.
